The Signal Traffic research initiative brings together scholars and artists in the fields of Media Studies, Art, Communication, and Geography to develop new conceptual models and artistic strategies for thinking about infrastructures and processes of signal distribution Event: June 2, 2011

“Signal Traffic: Art, Infrastructure, and Geography 2,” the second in a series of workshops on infrastructure visualization, will be held at UC Santa Barbara.


This year we received grants from the University of California Institute for Research in the Arts and the University of California Humanities Research Institute to hold a series of workshops on infrastructure and visualization in California.

Event: November 12, 2010 

A one-day workshop at UC Santa Barbara brought together interdisciplinary scholars and artists to brainstorm about visual representations of infrastructures.
